About Bear-Glasgow Dental

Bear-Glasgow Dental is a group dental practice providing a wide variety of general dental services. There are two convenient locations in the Bear and Glasgow areas of New Castle County, Delaware. Both offices have recently been renovated and equipped with modern equipment for patient comfort. The Peoples Plaza office is located at the intersection of Route 896 & 40 in Glasgow, about ten miles south of Newark. The Bear office is at the corner of Route 40 & 7, in the heart of Bear, Delaware.

The practice began as the solo practice of Dr. Stanley Goleburn, one of the first dentists to open on Main Street in Newark in the 1950’s. He eventually built the Newark Medical Building near the beginning of Main Street, and practiced for many years as a solo practitioner until being joined by his son, Dr. Glen Goleburn, in 1988.

In 1989, the two doctors opened a second office in Bear. After a few years, a fire damaged the building on Main Street, and the doctors relocated that office to Peoples Plaza. The practice was subsequently named Bear-Glasgow Dental, LLC.

In 1997, Dr. Neil Woloshin joined the practice and became a partner. Expansion and renovations were made first to the Bear office, and later to the Peoples Plaza office. Additional associate doctors have joined the practice, which continues to grow.

Despite the growth of the staff and increase in office space, Dr. Goleburn and Dr. Woloshin have remained committed to maintaining a personalized practice philosophy. Although there are seven doctors in the practice, patients are scheduled with the same doctor every visit, except for emergencies or special circumstances. Also, the same receptionist handles duties for the doctor’s patients. This way, patients have someone familiar with them each time they call or visit. Finally, a state-of-the-art phone system ensures good communication and message handling.
